Air Handling Units

SSMUnit

Scott Springfield air handling equipment is manufactured to customer defined requirements, configurations and sizes.

  • Heat transfer (water, steam, indirect gas heat, electric, direct expansion, adiabatic/evaporative)
  • Full electric capabilities including (motor control, lighting, component wiring, DDC, programmable logic controllers, sensors/actuator installation)
  • Industrial options (documentation, material certification, welding certification, classified area unit approval)

SSM offers a higher quality, stronger and more serviceable air handler with the following unique design features:

  • Water dam floor construction to manage any moisture within the unit. Water dam allows for optional wash down interior surface construction.
  • Fully welded floor seams again insure complete containment of moisture inside the unit and add to the strength of the floor surface.
  • Clench style panel joining method adds to unit strength and reduces leakage. SSM deflection and leakage is often less than half of competitors’ stated performance.
  • Split air handlers are framed by ¼ inch think 3 x 5 inch angle iron at each joining surface. The structural angle iron framing around each split joint adds significant strength to the mating wall and roof edges. This framing also greatly reduces the field labor time needed to join the split sections together while insuring a perfect fit up of the components.
  • SSM performance certifications for fan (AMCA), heat transfer surfaces (ARI) and dampers/louvers (AMCA) provides third party assurance of performance for critical components within the air handler.
  • SSM quality assurance is backed by our ISO 9001:2008 certification as well as by our CWB (2010).
